Fisherman Vic Jones of Cordova, tows on his net on the Grass Island bar of the Copper River Delta last Thursday, during a 12-hour, commercial salmon opener. The delta is a dangerous fishery and so far this year, fisherman have been restricted to fish in the ocean only to hinder king salmon catches, away from their historical fishing area inside the more protected waters of the "barrier islands."
