FullMoonOverAnchorage_CROP_0606.tif
The Full Moon rises above the Chugach Mountains and the Anchorage, Alaska skyline on January 30, 2010. This particular moon is at the perogee, making it appear 14% wider and 30% brighter. The perogee makes it the brightest and largest moon for 2010, because of it's eliptical orbit around the Earth bringing it some 30,000 miles closer than normal.
